Hity Resort 2013

Jakie są najważniejsze trendy na sezon Resort 2013?

1. Mocne wzory pokrywają cały strój. Od stóp do głów nosimy abstrakcyjne formy w stylu lat 60. i 70.
2. Topy odsłaniające brzuch nadal modne. Tym razem nosimy je do nobliwych kostiumów.
3. Spodnie sięgają połowy łydki i są rozszerzane.
5. Sukienki noszone na spodnie. Najlepiej luźne, nakładane na jeszcze luźniejsze spodnie. Wszystko skoordynowane kolorem i wzorem.
7. Linia A. Wąska góra, rozkloszowany dół.
12. Sport chic tym razem w wydaniu męskim. Nosimy szerokie spodnie i kurtki chłopaka z drużyny.
13. Paski są szerokie i wyraźne. Najchętniej pokryte cekinami albo błyszczące.

Resort came and went — and left a landslide of trends in its wake. The amazing thing about Resort is that just about anything goes — but we've narrowed it down to the top 13 trends. Step inside for everything you need to know.

Peplum-Designers returned again to the silhouette they popularized on the Spring and Fall '12 runways with peplums that took on a pretty twist with embroidery and lace or a more fashion-forward edge with slick leather detailing.

Bold Print-All-over print in megawatt color took over on head-to-toe suiting, separates, and even evening dresses. The feel is whimsical, some with a '60s and '70s nod to geometric shapes.

Sporty Suiting-The menswear vibe took on a decidedly sportier motif with black, contrast seams that gave the illusion of track pants or with moto-style jackets and looser, relaxed silhouettes.

Stripes-Striping emerged as the pattern of choice for designers who crafted their lines with either nods to the traditional or a reimagining of striped prints in sequins, stripes on stripes, and striped suiting with crisp, playful results.

Fit and Flare-Defined waistlines were ever-present for Resort on fit-and-flare dresses and skirts that work to flatter feminine shapes. Some are straight-forward, dresses like Marni's that hint at retro femininity with their silhouettes, while others like Missoni bridge the modern and the classic with familiar shapes, but more playful prints and less literal interpretations of a nipped waistline.

Cutouts-This time around, we're seeing cutouts take shape on dresses more than anything else, giving subtle, albeit edgy sexiness to gowns, day dresses, and cocktail looks.

Leather-Leather is hardly a cold-weather staple anymore. Resort was loaded in warmer-weather varieties like shorts, short-sleeved tops, and easy leather shifts to make the most of the fabric even when we're not bundling up.

Dresses Over Pants-Designers dressed up their pants quite literally, layering dresses right over long, flowy pants, or slimmer versions, too. The effect is both easy and elegant and there's a sense, especially in matching prints that these sets are meant to be worn together.

Culottes-Roomy, cropped pants emerged throughout the Resort collections, bringing with them an easiness and playfulness to either feminine tops or borrowed-from-the-boys button-downs.

Crop Tops-Crop tops continued to be a strong trend for resort, becoming even more incorporated into all collections as layer under suiting or a way to bare skin against a more conservative bottom.

Embellished Collars-Designers looked to pretty detail at the collars to liven up their looks with subtle, ladylike glamour. We saw special finishing touches on the collars at Chanel that gave looks a kind of regal glamour. More demure, ladylike embellishments were ever present on the necklines at Jason Wu and Louis Vuitton.

Jumpsuits-We're not saying goodbye to the one-piece wonder anytime soon. Jumpsuits took shape as a mainstay silhouette among the Resort collections, offering an easiness to everything from an elegant spin on day dressing to cocktail-ready attire.

Lace-We spotted iterations of the feminine fabrication adding delicate luxury to cocktail dressing (in bright hues) or adding a ladylike juxtaposition to slick leather finishes or sleek separates.

John Galliano powraca?

John Galliano spotkał się w Paryżu z Anną Wintour i jej córką, Bee Schaffer. Tematem rozmowy była podobno nowa praca projektanta. W kilkanaście miesięcy po antysemickim skandalu z udziałem byłego dyrektora artystycznego domu mody Dior, czeka go nowe wyzwanie. Ma dokonać reaktywacji legendarnego domu mody Elsy Schiaparelli.

Plotka? Czy świat mody naprawdę dał Galliano drugą szansę?
Wintour maczała palce w tej decyzji?

Despite the fact that John Galliano was found guilty of making anti-Semitic slurs, many people within the fashion industry are saying the couturier will make a comeback. Recently, he has met with Anna Wintour.

The latest person to voice their support for the designer is actress Eva Green, who told Vogue UK, “He will make a comeback, I just know it.” This comes after a string of big-name industry players have come out to show their support. When asked whether or not Galliano could come back to fashion, Dior’s current head designer (and long-time Galliano collaborator) Bill Gaytten told the Financial Times, “We’ll see. It’s not over until it’s over. I can’t say any more than that right now.” As for Vogue Italy’s always-provocative Editor in Chief Franca Sozzani, she bluntly told The Daily Beast that Dior should, “Hire John Galliano back.”

Marianne Power about Kate Moss:
'Kate Moss is turning into a style disaster zone. There, I said it.
This deep line of thought started with the pictures of her at Jade Jagger’s wedding a week ago. Yes, compared with Mick Jagger who, in his pink-striped suit, looked ready to sell candy floss, and Bianca, who in her dark suit and white gloves and hat seemed to be staging an homage to Cruella de Vil, Kate was no laughing stock.
But she didn’t exactly look great either. Actually, she looked a bit of mess. The blush-pink and black lace dress by McQueen looked as if it was covered in cartoon bats.'

1. Świeża, jakby zroszona wodą cera, to podstawa sukcesu.
3. Jeśli chcesz uzyskać efekt seksownie mokrych ust, pokryj je korektorem, a następnie zamaluj lśniącym, bezbarwnym błyszczykiem.

Known as the most influential make-up artist in the world, a title given by Vogue magazine, Pat McGrath is a British make-up artist. Originally from Northampton, England, McGrath is certain that her mother was a huge influence on her love of fashion and make-up. Her career began in the early 1990’s while working with Edward Enninful, who was then the editor of i-D magazine. She innovated the use of color, which gained her international recognition. McGrath went on to work with Jil Sander and John Galliano. McGrath’s career has continued to blossom as she has worked with some of the world’s most famous photographers including: Steven Meisel, Paolo Roversi, Helmut Newton and Peter Lindbergh. Her work has been seen on the pages of Vogue, W, and Harper’s Bazaar. In 1999, McGrath designed Armani’s cosmetics line and in 2004, was appointed to be the global creative director from Procter and Gamble – specifically, Max Factor and Cover Girl.

Pat McGrath has no formal training.

PETA atakuje siostry Olsen

Dziś Mary-Kate i Ashley w roli oskarżonych.

Głównym powodem zamieszania jest kontrowersyjny plecak z The Row.

„Taki plecak z łatwością pomieści cały twój dzienny niezbędnik i zrobi to wyjątkowo elegancko” – pisze stylistka.

PETA is ripping fashion designer duo Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen for using animal pelts to create their latest backpack, which retails for around $17,000. The backpack is a patchwork design made of various animal furs, a fact that has PETA livid with the twosome to the point of bitter name-calling.

"If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it's probably a Trollsen Twin - or somebody wearing one of their new totes," the group continues.

PETA calls on consumers not to purchase the products "which are made from the fur and skins of innocent animals" or anything by the Olsens.
